Can switch distances I or update my registration?
Yes. You can make changes to your registration (excluding the participant’s name) at no cost by logging into your Chronotrack account here. Follow the platform’s instructions to update your details or change your race distance.
can I pick up my friend’s race packet when I pick up my own?
If you are picking up for another runner, do not forget their photo ID (a photocopy or digital copy / picture will be accepted) or a copy of their confirmation email as well. Please be ready to confirm the name and date of birth on the bib(s) you are picking up.
Are dogs allowed on the course?
No. For the safety of all participants, dogs are not permitted on the race course. If a dog is observed on course, the participant will be disqualified and will not receive a finisher medal.
Are baby strollers allowed?
Yes. Strollers are welcome in all race events. For safety and to reduce congestion, participants with strollers must start at the back of the field.
Are the courses USATF certified?

How should I wear my race bib?
Attach your race bib to the front of your shirt at chest or torso level using safety pins or magnetic bib fasteners. Ensure it is visible and unobstructed by clothing or gear.
Are restrooms available on-site?
Yes. A large number of portable toilets will be located near the Start/Finish area. There will be no portable restrooms along the course itself.
Can I walk the race?
Absolutely! We welcome walkers who can maintain a pace of 15 minutes per mile (approximately 4 mph) for the 10K. The 5K is more leisurely with a required pace of 30 minutes per mile. Participants who fall behind this pace may lose access to on-course support including aid stations, medical services, and road closures. In such cases, you may be asked to move to the sidewalk and follow pedestrian laws, or be transported forward to rejoin the supported portion of the course.
Are refunds available?
All registrations are non-refundable.
Is race day registration available?
No. Race day registration is not offered. Please register in advance.
Can I defer my entry to another year?
Yes. A one-time deferral to the 2027 race is available if requested via your Chronotrack account by 11:59 PM on December 31, 2025.
What happens if it rains?
The race will proceed in rain. In the case of severe weather or safety concerns on race morning, participants will be notified with further instructions.
What time should I arrive on race day?
If you’ve already picked up your race packet: arrive at least 45 minutes before your start time.
If you need to pick up your packet on race day: plan to arrive at least 60 minutes early.
Can I purchase an extra pancake breakfast for a guest?
Yes! Additional pancake breakfasts can be purchased for $7 during online registration, while supplies last. No additional breakfast tickets will be sold on race day.
What are the AWD (athletes with disabilities) guidelines and event rules?
The Pancake Run happily welcomes all athletes to participate in our events. Athletes with Disabilities (AWD) include, but are not limited to the flowing athletes, Blade Runners, Visually Impaired Runners, Adaptive / Guided Runners, Pushed Athletes, Push Rim, Racing Chair and Hand Cycles.
To participate as an AWD athlete you must notify the Race Director of your participation a minimum of 20 days in advance. This allows our staff to ensure the safety and security of each athlete on the course prepare the ES (early starters) corral for athletes. To ensure your spot and be approved as an AWD participant please contact info@pancakerun.com. Should there be a duo team, a coupon code may be provided for the pusher/coach by emailing info@pancakerun.com
What are the age groupings?
Age group awards will be given to the top three in the following divisions for both male and females in both the 5K and 10K:
11 & under, 12 to 15, 16 to 19, 20 to 24, 25 to 29, 30 to 34, 35 to 39, 40 to 44, 45 to 49, 50 to 54, 55 to 59, 60 to 64, 65 to 69, 70 to 74, 75 to 79, 80 to 84, and 85 and over.
For the Double Stack Age group awards will be given to the top three in the following divisions for both male and females:
15 & under, 16 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 and over.
